Kandice started the Talent Enrichment Foundation, Inc. (TEF) in 2023 driven by her deep passion for fostering potential and providing opportunities for individuals to thrive. Having experienced firsthand the transformative power of mentorship and support in her own journey, Kandice recognized the barriers many talented individuals face, particularly those from underrepresented and disadvantaged backgrounds.

Growing up in a single-parent home, her mother who was a schoolteacher at the time, always made a way for her and her younger brother to pursue their passions and talent. While in 7th grade, Kandice and a few of her friends wanted to participate in cheerleading, but Kandice couldn’t participate because of the $100 fee.

As an adult and now raising her own three sons, she saw a critical need to create a platform that could bridge this gap, offering resources, guidance, and encouragement to help young talents realize their full potential. Her vision was to cultivate a supportive community where skills in areas such as arts, sciences, sports, and technology – or any talent – could be nurtured and developed.

Under Kandice's leadership, the Talent Enrichment Foundation – now an official 501c3 nonprofit as of February 2024 – has a goal to grow into a beacon of hope and opportunity, impacting countless lives through its diverse programs and initiatives. By providing talent grants, educational workshops, mentorship programs, and more, the foundation not only helps individuals hone their skills but also promotes equity and inclusivity.
